Digital verification of identity

Advantedge allows the collection of customer identification documents conveniently and faster using either:

  • IDyou; or 
  • ZipID 

With these apps, everything you need to submit your customer’s identification credentials is at your fingertips.

How to Access these apps

  • IDyou: Click here to access IDyou.
  • ZipID: Download the app on the App Store or Get it on Google Play.

Use these apps to:

  • Take pictures of your customer’s identification documents using your mobile device.
  • Follow simple steps to verify their ID.
  • Download a Digital Verification of Identity PDF report to submit with your customer’s Advantedge loan application.

All you need to start

  • Be a registered Australian broker.
  • Be an accredited broker with us.
  • Have a compatible smartphone or mobile tablet or computer.
  • Register for an account with IDyou or ZipID. It’s free.

How to get started

  1. Select the method which suits you and your customer.
  2. Register for an account with that provider. You can do this by visiting idyouapp.com.au/details for IDyou or zipid.com.au/register/form for ZipID.
  3. Once registered, the provider will email your login details.
  4. Have the app ready to go. Click here to access IDyou via a weblink. For ZipID ensure you have downloaded the app to your mobile device. Login with your new account details provided to you by the provider.
  5. Start using the app with your customers to assist in verifying their identification.
  6. Download the verification of identity report PDF to submit to Advantedge with your application submission. You do not need to provide the Identification Check Form if submitting a digital VOI report.

Device management

  • Keep your password secret.
  • Never leave your device unattended while logged on.
  • Don't use your date of birth, telephone number, address, your name or the name of a friend or relative in your password.
  • Change your password regularly.
  • Don't use a password you use for anything else (e.g. your answering service).
  • Ensure that you are not observed or heard entering your password (e.g. screen reader software voices data entry and screen text to assist visually impaired users).
  • Lock your device when you logout.
